spacer Shipping Information

We ship every business day!

Most orders are shipped within one business day. If you place your order in time for our pickup (about 3:00 PM Pacific Time, M-F) it will ship the same day. Occasionally pickup is late and we can get orders out as late a 4:00 PM. If you place an order after pickup, it will go out the next business day.

Sometimes the boss makes us work on Saturdays. On those days we will also ship if the order comes in before noon, but we cannot ship Airmail, DHL, or UPS orders on Saturdays. Priority, Express, Global Express and Global Priority shipments are the only shipping methods that can be shipped on Saturday.

Tracking Numbers

Orders shipped USPS Priority Mail have Delivery Confirmation Numbers, which are used to show proof of delivery, not as "Tracking Numbers" in the true sense of the phrase. We do not include package insurance on Priority mail shipments. If you require insurance please use an insured method (DHL or UPS). OBD Diagnostics is not responsible for items lost in the mail. If the Post Office says it is delivered, then it has been delivered - whether or not you have received it.

First Class mail has no tracking number or insurance.

Global Priority Mail does not include a tracking number, but does have a customs label number to show proof of mailing.

Global Express mail from the Post Office does include a tracking number.

DHL and UPS shipping also provide complete tracking. When we ship your order you will receive an email with the tracking number as well as a link to the tracking page of DHL or UPS.

Select your shipping method bearing in mind the level of tracking, guarantee, and insurance you require.

Lost or Stolen Packages

We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We can only help you find out the problem if you select a service that has tracking (Global Express Mail, UPS, or DHL). If you select First Class mail or Priority Mail and the item is lost in the mail, your only recourse is to order the item and pay for it again. If you do not want to take this risk, pay the extra and ship it with an insured method. Out of many thousands of packages shipped, only a small few have been truly lost.


Next Day, 2nd Day service

If you select DHL Next Day or 2nd Day service, please bear in mind that this is from the shipping date, not the order date. If you order before the pickup time it will go out that day, but if you order after the pickup time it will go out the next day. Next Day and 2nd Day refer to business days, not counting Saturday, Sunday or Holidays. This means that if you order Next Day at 8PM Thursday (it will ship Friday), you will not recieve your order until Monday ( the next business day).

Express Mail from the Post Office is not a guaranteed service. If you live in an urban area you will likely receive your package the next day. If you live in a rural area, it will likely be 2 days. Express Mail does have the advantage that the Post Office both ships and delivers on Saturdays.

We can ship your order worldwide!

Delivery times vary by country and location within the country, but international shipments generally arrive in major metropolitan areas within a week, and even most rural areas within 2 weeks.

The largest single factor in shipping internationally is customs. The package can arrive in your country in a few days, but then sit in customs for weeks. This is frustrating for everyone involved because it delays you receiving your order and there is no way for us to predict which orders will be delayed. If you have not received your package in 10 business days, please contact us and we will send you the Customs Label number. You can use this number to contact your own contry's customs office to determine the status of your package. All customs or import duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping by Global Express Mail will ensure faster delivery. They use their own customs agents and nearly all international orders arrive in 3 or 4 days.

International Express Carriers

We get frequent inquires about shipping DHL, UPS, FedEx, or other carriers for international shipments. The costs for these shipments are generally very high, and can vary greatly from the quoted rack rates. For this reason, we only provide the option of express shipping prepaid via Global Express Mail through the Post Office. If you need to use an alternate carrier, we will gladly ship the package on your own shipper account. PLease contact us by email to arrange for alternate shipping.
