ECM 555scan Trouble Codes (DTC) Help

The Trouble Codes item allows you to read and clear active Diagnotic Trouble COdes (DTCs). It also displays the stored codes
and allows youto clear thise as well. In addition, for each of the stored codes, you can view freeze frame
data that was captured when the code was set.
The section at the top is for active trouble codes. The section at the bottom is for stored trouble codes. Reading Trouble CodesClick the Read DTC button as indicated.
It can take some time to completely read the DTCs. During this time, the "READING" message is displayed. Please wait for this to complete and the Reading message to disappear.
Clearing Trouble CodesClick the button indicated to clear (or erase) the active trouble codes. If the error condition is still present, the code may not clear, or immediately clear then shortly reappear.
Reading Freeze Frame DataYou will note next to each of the the stored codes is a button for More Data.
Clicking on this button will launch a screen with the freeze frame data for that code.
Clearing Stored CodesClick on the button indicated below to clear the stored codes.
This will clear all of the stored trouble codes as well as all of the stored freeze frame data. Once this is cleared, it is gone forever.
